RFA & RVT Geometry Exchange with ArchicadĪrchicad and Revit are the most widely used BIM authoring solutions in the world, with many supporters of one tool or another. From now on, the antagonism between supporters will be smoothened through new collaboration possibilities offered by GRAPHISOFT. In this post, we are happy to announce that since mid-October 2020, the new RFA & RVT Geometry Exchange add-on for Archicad is available to download. The file must the gbXML or IDF standard data format. On the first page you can select the XML or IDF file to import. Most of the import controls are the same for gbXML and IDF import. This add-on enables Archicad users to import RFA (Revit Families) into their Archicad project as objects, including doors and windows. GRAPHISOFT widely support openBIM and different methods of data exchange between the two major BIM authoring solutions (Archicad and Revit).
That is the reason GRAPHISOFT previously developed an add-on for Revit to support a better IFC Model Exchange with Archicad (now available for Revit 2021).
